Ranks Corp., the parent company of Ranks Africa, is expanding its growing media and recognition ecosystem with the introduction of RANKCORE — a dedicated platform for Construction, Real Estate and the wider Built Environment.
For years, Ranks Africa has built a growing presence around recognising and documenting the people, businesses, brands and ideas contributing to Africa’s development across multiple industries.
As that ecosystem continues to expand, so does the need to give some of Africa’s most important industries deeper, more specialised attention.
Construction and real estate are among them.
Across Africa, new cities are emerging, skylines are changing, infrastructure is expanding, housing demand is accelerating, technology is transforming how we design and build, and a new generation of developers, construction companies, architects, engineers, investors and entrepreneurs is reshaping the continent’s built environment.
These stories deserve more than occasional coverage.
They deserve a dedicated platform.
Welcome to RANKCORE
RANKCORE is Ranks Corp.’s dedicated Construction & Real Estate platform, created to recognise excellence, document impact and spotlight the people, companies, brands, projects and innovations shaping Africa’s built environment.
It represents an expansion of the work already being done across the wider Ranks ecosystem, bringing construction and real estate into a focused platform with its own identity, programmes and industry community.
RANKCORE will operate across four core areas:
Recognition • Ratings • Media • Magazine
Recognition
RANKCORE will identify and celebrate individuals, organisations and projects making meaningful contributions across construction, real estate and the built environment.
Our first flagship recognition is:
Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in Construction & Real Estate 2026
The initiative will recognise developers, construction leaders, investors, architects, engineers, realtors, designers, property professionals, PropTech founders and other individuals whose work is contributing meaningfully to the industry’s development.
Ratings
Through RANKCORE 5-Star, the platform will develop an assessment-led recognition system covering excellence across the industry.
The programme will progressively assess categories including real estate companies, developers, construction companies, architecture firms, engineering companies, interior design firms, brokerages, property management companies, PropTech businesses, building-material brands, projects and developments.
The objective is simple: make five stars mean something.
Media
RANKCORE will document the industry beyond recognition.
Our editorial coverage will follow the people building companies, the companies transforming markets, the projects changing cities, the products enabling construction and the ideas influencing where the industry goes next.
Coverage will span real estate, construction, development, architecture, engineering, investment, design, infrastructure, technology, materials, machinery and the wider built environment.
RANKCORE Magazine
The platform will also publish RANKCORE Magazine, a digital and print editorial product documenting significant people, companies, projects and developments across the industry.
Special recognition editions will bring together interviews, profiles, project showcases, industry perspectives and major RANKCORE recognition programmes.
The inaugural recognition cycle will place particular focus on Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in Construction & Real Estate 2026.
More Than Developers and Buildings
RANKCORE is being built around the entire ecosystem.
That means developers and contractors, but also architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers, interior designers, brokers, investors, facility managers, manufacturers, building-material brands, PropTech and ConTech companies, machinery and equipment providers, commercial vehicles, infrastructure businesses and the professionals behind them.
Because the built environment is not created by one industry.
It is created by an ecosystem.
Starting With Recognition. Building Something Bigger.
The first phase of RANKCORE will focus on establishing its recognition, ratings and editorial platforms, beginning with the Africa 100, followed by RANKCORE 5-Star and dedicated industry features.
Over time, the platform will expand into additional initiatives that connect the industry, create conversations and strengthen relationships between the people and organisations shaping the built environment.
For Ranks Corp., RANKCORE represents more than the launch of another media property.
It represents the next stage in building specialised platforms around industries that are shaping Africa’s future.
And there are few industries more fundamental to that future than the ones designing, financing, constructing and managing the places where Africa will live, work, build and grow.
Welcome to RANKCORE.
Construction & Real Estate.
